1. Measure about 1 tablespoon for a normal load. Use a little more (roughly 1.5–2 tablespoons) for a big or heavily soiled load, and a little less for a small or lightly soiled one. Check the bag for any revised dosing, since this is a new bag format.
2. Add it to the machine. It works in both front and top loaders. For a front loader, put it in the detergent drawer (main wash compartment) or straight into the drum before the clothes. For a top loader, sprinkle it into the water as the tub fills, or in the bottom of the drum before adding clothes, so it dissolves properly. 
3. Choose your temperature. It's suitable for both hot and cold water washing. In cold washes, dissolving the powder in a cup of warm water first helps avoid undissolved residue. 
4. Run your normal cycle. Don't expect lots of suds; that's normal for a low-sud formula and doesn't mean it isn't cleaning.
