Eyebright is a tonic, astringent and anti-inflammatory herb. It has been traditionally used for the eyes and related conditions. Eyebright may assist with healing conjunctivitis, inflammation, styes, itchy or stinging eyes. For the respiratory tract, it may assist hay fever, colds, sinusitis and excess mucous. Eyebright has a bitter taste.

May be useful for but not limited to:

Conjunctivitis

Inflammation and irritations

Hay fever and sinusitis

As a Tea (Internal Use)

Ingredients: 1 tsp dried eyebright herb per cup of hot water.

How to prepare: Steep for 5–10 minutes, strain, and drink.

Usage: 1–2 cups per day as needed.

Eyewash or Compress (External Use)

⚠️ Use extreme caution.

Make a very weak tea (e.g., 1 tsp dried herb in 1 cup water), strain thoroughly with a coffee filter or fine muslin.

Let it cool, soak a clean cloth, and place gently over closed eyes.

Do not put directly into eyes unless advised by a qualified practitioner.
